Purpose of the Alumni Association
The Alumni Association shall be operated exclusively for the purpose of providing support and assistance to Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) in carrying out the mission of the College. The members of the Alumni Association shall participate in the recruitment and retention of students; provide support to students, especially as it relates to choosing careers, transferring to four-year colleges and entering the work world; promote good public/community relations; and promote greater contact and communication between alumni/ae and the College community.
Definition of the Alumni Association
The Alumni Association is comprised of everyone who has graduated with a degree or certificate from MCCC, or anyone who has earned 30 credits or more at the College and wishes to be considered an alumnus/a. That very large body - some 16,000 men and women - is represented by a Board of Directors composed of "not less than 9 and not more than 21" members, who may serve up to four two-year terms.
