Munisteri’s contemporary dance performances have been described as musically sophisticated, visceral, inventive, full of subtlety and mystery, beautifully controlled, and wild. Based in New York City, the company has enjoyed home seasons at the Joyce Theater’s Altogether Different Festival, Performance Space 122 (three seasons), Central Park SummerStage ('98 and '05), the World Financial Center, The Kitchen, Danspace Project at St. Mark’s Church (two seasons), The Pyramid Club, the NYC International Fringe Festival, Symphony Space, 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Project at the Duke on 42nd Street Theater, Galapagos Arts Space, Celebrate Brooklyn, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the 2004 Bessie Awards ceremony, and the Public Theater’s "Joe’s Pub."

This year's program showcases the last feature film made at the Betzwood studio, BREAKING HOME TIES, a dramatic and moving tale of an immigrant family lost in New York and how their family ties are broken and re-cemented. Made in 1921, in part, to counteract the anti-Semitic attacks of Henry Ford's "Dearborn Independent," the film is one of the best made and most dramatic of the Betzwood films. The film will be accompanied by the ever-popular Don Kinnier.
