Back by popular demand jazz legend, Charles Lloyd, will perform with his signature authentic deeply soulful sound. Between 1966-69 Charles Lloyd led one of the most popular groups in jazz. In 1966 the Charles Lloyd Quartet included Keith Jarrett, Cecil McBee, and Jack DeJohnette and was the hit at the '66 Monterey Jazz Festival, a historic appearance that featured his most famous composition "Forest Flower". Lloyd left music to pursue his interest in philosophy and meditation, but in the early 80's he edged back onto the jazz scene, notably with a Montreux International Jazz Festival performance featuring Michel Petrucciani. From the early 90's onwards, Lloyd hit another peak with some excellent recordings for ECM Records. He wowed audiences in his last appearance here on our stage, don't miss this one!
