Irish folksinger, musician, entertainer and proprietor of the Shanachie, Irish Pub and Restaurant in Ambler will entertain with an evening of great Irish music and dance. Gerry has been playing his special brand of folk music before adoring audiences for more than four decades in Ireland, the British Isles, the United States and Canada. Born in Ireland, he moved to the United States in the early seventies, where he has been delighting audiences with his rich baritone vocals, instrumental talent and his irreverent humor ever since. Proceeds from this special concert performance will benefit the Courage to Create Capital Campaign for the College's Fine Arts Center.

Capitol Steps
Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 8 PM
The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. Although not all of the current members of the Steps are former Capitol Hill staffers, taken together the performers have worked in a total of eighteen Congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience. Since they began, the Capitol Steps have recorded 27 albums, including their latest, Springtime for Liberals. They've been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS, and can be heard four times a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their Politics Takes a Holiday radio specials.
