View the Night Sky with Astronomer Derrick Pitts at MCCC’s ‘Evening Under the Stars’

Sept. 7, 2007, Blue Bell, Pa.—Derrick Pitts, Chief Astronomer of the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, will help guests stargaze from a brand new astronomy observation deck during Montgomery County Community College’s premiere event “Evening Under the Stars” on Sept. 15. The evening, which is presented by STV Architects, will offer the community a sneak peek of the College’s new Advanced Technology Center in Blue Bell. All proceeds benefit student scholarships and College programs. General admission for “Evening Under the Stars” is $95 and includes three levels of music and dancing, plus fabulous food and drink stations throughout. Food will be provided by some of the finest purveyors in the area, including the Iron Hill Brewery, Sutter Home Family Vineyards, the Food Muse and others.
