Part-Time Personal Enrichment Instructors

Seeking talented instructors to teach part-time in:

  • Foreign languages—particularly German and Russian, as well as Dutch, Greek, Hebrew, Farsi, Japanese, and other foreign languages.
    • Prior teaching experience required, preferably in teaching adult students.
    • Master's degree preferred or equivalent language experience (native language).
  • ESL, English pronunciation, TOEFL preparation, basic English writing, English conversation.
    • Master’s in TESOL or Applied Linguistics with ESL teaching experience preferred.
    • Other academic preparation will be considered.
  • SAT Prep instructors for highly effective SAT Prep Program.
    • Prior SAT Prep teaching experience required.
    • Demonstrated ability to help students raise their test scores required.
    • Expertise in teaching all portions of the test preferred.

Talented instructors for daytime enrichment classes for children and youth. Weekends, after-school, and/or for our large summer program. We seek certified and/or experienced teachers of youth and/or teens for:

  • Science for children (general knowledge and interests in biology, geology, astronomy, chemistry, etc.).
  • Computer applications popular with children (i.e., Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Gaming and Animation.
  • Theater and dramatic arts for children and teens.
  • Creative writing and pleasure-reading classes for children.
  • Art for children, including mixed media, painting, drawing, etc.
  • Spanish language instructors for children.
  • Sports and physical education/fitness for children.
  • Study skills for children.
  • Personal money management for children and youth.
  • Reading/writing and math specialists for new program for enrichment and remedial levels for children.
  • You propose!

We also seek talented instructors who want to propose dynamic, new non-credit course offering for adults in Summer and Fall 2009 or after. If you are certified or trained in the subject(s) you want to teach and have prior teaching experience, submit a description of the course(s) you wish to teach plus your background/resume.
