Guide to MCCC Web Sites
& Online Services
College Main Site
The College's main web site is a rich information resource and links to all other College sites. It contains general College information, course and program descriptions, FAQs, student services information, campus and building maps, departmental information, and much more. Students and prospective students can research College offerings, find tuition and fee information, view various College calendars, search for jobs, and access online workshops. Prospective students can learn how to enroll and apply online. Campus news and event information, the Lively Arts Series schedules, and Community Day specifics are also available. We are committed to providing a fully accessible web site.
Faculty Web Site
College faculty and staff who choose to create a college-related web page post their information on the Faculty & Staff web site. Information available on the site differs by individual, but commonly contains contact information and office hours. Course materials, links of interest, and general discipline information is also available on some pages. The views and opinions expressed by individual faculty and staff on these pages are strictly those of the page authors. MCCC is committed to the principles of free speech and makes no attempt to censor pages.
Online Course Site
The online course site supports the College's E-Learning courses as well as many traditional "face-to-face" courses. Course materials, such as syllabi, assignments, and lecture notes, are available at the discretion of each instructor. Each course site supports discussion forums, a virtual classroom (chat), and a digital drop-box. Online tutoring is also available through this site.
Online Records & Registration
Through the WebAdvisor site for online records and registration, students can access their records, such as unofficial transcripts, financial aid status, and grades. They can also register for classes and make payments. Faculty can view their schedules, access class rosters, and enter grades. The real-time class search for semester course schedules is available to all visitors, including those without an id and password.
Online Library
Students, faculty, and staff can access the College Library's catalog system to search for books and AV items as well as find newly available materials at both campuses. Other online electronic resources include access to Grolier, Lexis-Nexis, EBSCO Host, and First Search, among others; a College id is required to access all online databases.
Intranet
Mcadam, the College intranet site, is available to all College faculty, staff, and administrators. Resources include the online helpdesk, training resources (including Ask AL) meeting minutes, planning information, institutional research reports, and tips. Off-campus access to the intranet requires an id and password.
Wireless Site
The wireless site contains information relating to accessing the wireless LAN on both campuses. This resource includes wireless coverage area maps, configuration information, FAQs, and wireless adapter recommendations.
