Computer Labs and Public PC's
Labs are the first priority for new computers, which are rarely more than three years old. Software varies by student needs, rather than location. All of the computer labs for use in the curriculum have 20 student PC's, as well as an instructors station and various display technologies, depending on the needs of the instructor and room configuration.
Display technologies include:
- SmartBoards
- the Links system, which allows the instructor to broadcast their screen display to all the students, using hardwired technology
- NetOp, a software package that allows flexible displaying and controlling of any computer in the room.
Students also have access to the Learning Assistance Lab (LAL)
Public email stations have access to a web browser so that students can check their e-mail, use MCCC's online services, such as registration, and access other information and resources available on the Internet.
