All incoming students are highly encouraged to attend Orientation. Your participation helps ensure your success!
Orientation is an opportunity for you to meet and interact with fellow students as well as receive important information on College completion and campus life. Our main goal is to provide new students with a smooth and supportive transition into Montgomery County Community College.
Orientation Overview
We will be offering several orientation sessions at both campuses—Blue Bell (Central Campus) and Pottstown (West Campus). The day session is for traditional aged students, while the evening session is for adults age 24 or older. Traditional students who are unable to attend the day session may come to the evening session.
New Student Orientation is offered in a workshop format, with each student deciding which workshops they want to attend. This format allows each student the opportunity to build a workshop schedule that fits their personal needs, and will assist you in being successful during the first weeks of the semester.
During orientation students are also encouraged to register their cars and get their Student ID’s. To register your car, you must have your vehicle registration and your license plate number. (If you are parking on campus, car registration is required.) In order to get your Student ID, you must bring a photo ID. (Driver’s License, High School ID, etc.)Throughout orientation the bookstore will be open for you to purchase your books. Parking permits and student ID’s can be obtained from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Bookstore will be open 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
