    Description and Purpose

    ACT 101 is a program funded by the State of Pennsylvania to provide academic and counseling support services to students who receive financial aid or who meet certain income guidelines and are educationally underprepared for college level work.

    • Student Lounge
      Student lounge and study areas where students can meet, study, have coffee, and relax.

    • Orientation
      Pre-college summer orientation to college life including a tour of the campus, introduction to resources and services, career and academic planning, practice writing, stress reduction, and more!

    Who Qualifies

    Full-time or part-time students who have the potential and motivation for success, qualify financially, and meet at least one of the academic requirements:

    1. Qualify Financially

    • Receive financial aid grants and
    • Individual or family income below a certain state mandated level

    2. Qualify Academically

    • Place in one or more developmental level courses as a result of placement tests
    • Have below average high school grades
    • Received a GED
    • Have been out of school five or more years
