You will receive credit for NUR 110 as long as your license is current after completion of your first clinical course.
How do I know which clinical course to take first?
You need to take the Nursing Placement Test. The results will indicate whether you begin with NUR 112 or 211. Call Marjorie Guzek at 215-641-6577 for more information on the appropriate time to take the test.
How long is the wait to be accepted into the clinical portion of the Nursing Program?
There is no set waiting period. As soon as you complete the requirements for entry, you will be considered for acceptance. The number of students accepted each year is limited. Students who have all prerequisites successfully completed will be considered first, therefore be sure to have all pre-admission requirements completed before submitting the Petition for Advanced Standing Admission.

Recently there have been no waiting lists. All students who met the requirements were admitted.

Once you are accepted into the clinical part of the program, you should be finished in two to three semesters depending upon nursing placement test results.
What courses should I take while waiting for acceptance into the program?
We recommend you take all prerequisite courses and all non-nursing clinical courses listed in the program. If you are planning eventually to enter a bachelor's degree program, you may wish to take liberal arts transfer courses. An advisor will help you with appropriate course selections.
