General Objectives of the Internship Program
- To provide the student with an internship experience where
she/he can apply what has been learned in the classroom.
- To help the student intern explore careers in her/his field of study and
allow for more intelligent career choice-making.
- To help the student earn income (in many internships) that will help support
the cost of the college experience.
- To assist the student’s transition from college into a career.
- To help the student develop general and specific occupational skills,
knowledge, attitudes, and behavioral patterns that will be required in her/his
career.
