Frequently Asked Questions

Explain your services to me. How would I post a job?

Our employment services involve a cooperative effort with College Central Network, Inc. Employers can register online and post jobs FOR FREE to our Web site. Students and alumni from both the Blue Bell and Pottstown campuses will have access to these postings.

You must register and receive a password from the Career Center to post jobs and conduct resume searches. Click here for instructions.

May I have access to students' resumes?

Yes, you may access student resumes from Jobs Online/College Central Network. Once you register through College Central and receive a password from us, you may post jobs, access student resumes, repost jobs or delete jobs when they are filled. If students do not post their resumes on Jobs Online/College Central, they will follow whatever instructions you post to apply for the job opening. It is up to students to follow up on openings in which they are interested. Click here for instructions to register.

May I recruit on campus for students?

Yes, you may register to attend one of our mini-job fairs held throughout each semester. A table and chairs are set up for you and your visit is advertised on campus. You are welcome to bring any marketing materials that will help to bring students to the table. Call our office at 215-641-6548 or 215-641-6619 to schedule a visit. You may call West Campus at 610-718-1850 to get information regarding recruitment procedures.

May we hold interviews on campus?

Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we cannot accommodate interviewing on campus. If you recruit on campus, students may fill out your application and make arrangements to see you later at your own facility.

Do you place me in a job?

No, we don't place you into a job, but we will teach you how to effectively look for one if you make an appointment with a counselor. Call 215-641-5548 or 215-641-6577 on the Blue Bell Campus or 610-718-1850 on the Pottstown Campus for an appointment. Students and alumni may register to view jobs posted on our online job posting site, College Central, by area employers on a daily basis at www.collegecentral.com/mc3 and also talk to recruiters who visit the college on a regular basis.

Will you write a resume for me?

A counselor will be happy to work with you on writing a resume and cover letter (as well as review job search techniques and help you prepare for interviews). Call 215-641-6548, or 215-641-6577 on the Blue Bell Campus or 610-718-1850 on the Pottstown Campus for an appointment.

Where are the jobs posted and how do I access them?

Jobs are posted online on our website in a password-protected site, College Central. Students and alumni may register and access it 24/7; they may also post their resumes.

What if no employers call me when I am looking for a job?

If you are getting no response from employers when you're conducting a job search, your marketing strategy may be at fault. It is then time to make an appointment to see a Career Services counselor and discuss your resume, cover letter, job search approaches as well as interviewing techniques. Don't get stuck in a rut and keep making the same mistakes! Make an appointment by calling the Career Services Office in the Student Success Center at 215-641-6548, or 215-641-6577 on the Blue Bell Campus or 610-718-1850 on the Pottstown Campus and see what you're doing wrong.
