    We Have a New Look – New Carpeting!

    At the end of the summer, the public area of the Brendlinger Library main floor received new carpeting. We sorely needed the new carpet, which has made a vast improvement in the appearance of the Library. All of the Library staff are so very appreciative of the “sprucing up”of the main floor.

    Ben Franklin Exhibit

    Watch for the special exhibit on Benjamin Franklin in the Brendlinger Library in the Spring. 2006 marks the 300th year of Franklin 's birth. There will be special festivities in Philadelphia during the year, and 3 books by and about Franklin have been chosen for the whole city to read. Here, at the Brendlinger Library, we will mount an exhibit on Philadelphia 's best known patriot, inventor, scientist, printer, publisher, thinker, and diplomat. The exhibit will tie into the College's Honors Colloquium on Franklin. For now, see the “Quotes” section of the newsletter to read some of Franklin's better known sayings.

    Interlibrary Loan Service

    The Libraries' Interlibrary Loan service is now available to support faculty and staff research. Also, our Interlibrary Loan Request forms are now online. Please go to http://www.mc3.edu/sa/lib/ill.htm for more information.

    During Thanksgiving Break (November 23-27), the Library will close at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23 (AV Library at 4:00 p.m.). The Library will not be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 25, 26, 27, and 28. On Tuesday, December 20, the Library will close at 7:00 p.m.; and on Wednesday and Thursday, December 21 and 22, the Library will close at 5:00 p.m. (AV at 4:00 p.m.)
