Notes & Quotes
West Campus Library
by Kevin Strunk, PT Reference Librarian

The Library is very happy to welcome the new West Campus Library Manager, Margaret Forbes, who started in the position this past July. Margaret has a Bachelor of Arts from Old Dominion University and a Master of Science in Library Science from Clarion. Previously, she has worked as Access Services Librarian at Alvernia College in Reading and as Reference and Reader’s Advisory Librarian in the Chester County Library System.
Margaret’s interests are varied. A favorite, of course, is reading. She says, “I read every book in my elementary school library and have been reading voraciously ever since, mostly non-fiction, but I also love a great story like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which I just finished.” On a less cerebral level, she enjoys biking, boogie-boarding, working with Photoshop, movies, and feng-shui. Margaret is also a serious yoga practitioner and a certified past-life regression therapist. She has lived in a large yoga community and was a strict vegetarian for over twenty years. She says that she “can still do a mean Shavasana!”
Margaret is thrilled to be working so close to home – just a mile and a half from the West Campus. Since she has moved to Pottstown, she has been impressed with the positive impact that the College has on the local community and is happy to be part of that. She says that “the staff and students I have met here so far have been especially warm and welcoming and I am delighted to be part of the College community.” For our part, we are delighted to welcome Margaret to our staff. If you are at West Campus, please stop by the Library to meet Margaret and say “hello!”
