Electronic Resources and Services
by Gretchen Keer, Electronic Resources Librarian

This semester we are making some changes behind the scenes to make the Library more accessible and more responsive to our patrons’ needs. One such change is that we are going to start sending email overdue notices through on-campus email instead of mailing them. This will eliminate the time lag that is created by sending the notices through the postal service. More information about this service will be available on the Library Blog as it becomes available.
Another exciting development has been the expansion of our collection of e-books. We now have access to e-books through NetLibrary, XReferPlus, and Gale. To find e-books you can search the Library catalog or you can go to the Electronic Resources page from the Library web page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the E-Books grid.
In addition, for your convenience, we have separated out the EBSCOHost databases that hold Health Science information. To access these databases, click on the EBSCOHost Health Services link on the Electronic Resources page on the Library web site.
As always, if you have any questions about the Library’s electronic resources you can call the reference desk at 215-641-6594, email us at refdesk@mc3.edu, or send an Instant Message through “IM a librarian” on the Library’s home page.
