It's ok if your question and your focus change as you gather information. This is often part of the research and discovery process!
My research will attempt to answer this question: How does the psychological stress resulting from the atrocities witnessed and experienced by the soldiers of "The Things They Carried" influence the soldiers' own sense of humanity (in the short- and long-term)?
