The Montgomery County Community College Psychology Club was started and recognized as an official school club in 2002 with the goal of providing a forum for interested students, faculty, and staff to further discuss and participate in topics and activities within the field of psychology.
The Montgomery County Community College Psychology Club has held open seminars with guest speakers for the campus on a variety of compelling topics. Past topics have included dealing with divorce, sports psychology and the recreational athlete, careers with psychology, human motivation in action, and recent research developments in the treatment for schizophrenia. Community service events are also held during the year. Additionally, a club luncheon is held at the end of the spring semester of each year.
The Montgomery County Community College Psychology Club meets every other Wednesday from 12:30-1:20 during the fall and spring semesters. Membership is open to all Montgomery County Community College students, faculty, and staff. All are welcome to attend.
The Montgomery County Community College Psychology Club is led by the elected club officers and members. It is truly a club run by students for students. The ideas and topics that the club partakes in are generated by the members. In other words, your ideas count very much!
The Montgomery County Community College Psychology Club has two faculty advisors in Dr. Cory Bank and Dr. Ann Marie Donohue.
