Tutoring
Blue Bell Campus students can meet with the Learning Specialist in the Disability Services Center by appointment for instruction in learning strategies, note-taking, test-taking, and time management. Subject area tutoring is available in the Learning Assistance Lab.
Pottstown Campus students can meet with tutors in the Learning Assistance Lab.
Additional tutoring with adjunct faculty may be arranged on a case-by-case basis. For more information, contact the Director (Blue Bell Campus) or Coordinator (Pottstown Campus).
Academic Advising
Students with disabilities are strongly encouraged to meet with Disability Services staff members on either campus for academic advising. Staff members can assist students in planning course schedules that take into account the impact of disability on learning, study time, accommodations, and mobility issues. This is especially critical for new students. Academic Advising is also available in the Student Success Center.
Advocacy and Supportive Counseling
Disability Services staff members are available to meet with students to develop self-advocacy skills—the ability to communicate their strengths, weaknesses and needs to others. Staff members can also assist in resolving school related issues and to advocate on behalf of students when necessary.
Students on both campuses can attend weekly support groups that provide opportunities to meet with other students and staff members in an informal environment to discuss school-related and other issues.
Supportive Counseling is available in the Student Success Center (Blue Bell Campus) and the Student Success Center (Pottstown Campus).
