Mission Statement
The mission of the Physical Education Center’s Department of Extramural and Intramural Athletics is to provide a variety of active leisure time activities for all students, faculty, staff, and alumni. As part of the education and learning process students are encouraged to explore themselves as a physically active person, therefore enriching personal growth through healthy lifestyle practices.
The PE Center programs are designed to offer “something for everyone” in the following ways:
Extramural Athletics are team activities designed for the student who wishes to participate in athletic activities on a formal or semi-formal basis. Teams play against local colleges and participate in various community leagues.
Intramural Athletics are team and/or individual activities designed for the student who wishes to participate in athletic activities on a formal, semi-formal, or informal basis. Intramural Athletics are offered for the benefit and enjoyment of all full-time, part-time students, faculty, and staff. Skill level is not important nor a prerequisite for the enjoyment of Intramurals. The goal of Intramurals is personal enjoyment and self-fulfillment.
Wellness Center is a multi-purpose facility that is designed to improve your aerobic and anaerobic fitness. It is equipped with cardiovascular equipment, modular weight training stations, and free weights.
PE Center Student Clubs are student organizations for students interested in fitness/recreational activities. You can join the Adventure Club, Dance Club, Performing Arts Club, Aikido Club, Karate Club.
