Intramural Athletics
Eligibility
Intramural Athletics are open to all full and part-time students, faculty, and staff. All participants must be registered students.
Rules and Regulations
- All participants must be registered MCCC students, faculty, or staff.
- No one may participate unless his or her name is registered with their team's roster.
- Players may be added to the roster throughout the season. In league play, players must participate in at least three (3) regular season contests to be eligible for playoff games.
- No person may play on more than one team in the same sport or activity.
- New students or those who do not have a team and wish to participate can sign-up with the intramural coordinator.
- Students may both officiate and participate in intramurals. They may officiate games on days their team is not scheduled to play.
- Teams that forfeit more than two (2) games are suspended from the league.
- It is necessary for a team to be present and ready for play to receive a forfeit.
- Team Captains and Team Managers are responsible for the conduct of their team.
- Players in violation of playing rules or engage in un-sportsmanlike conduct and/or fighting will be suspended from intramural competition and subject to College disciplinary action.
- No person who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, shall be permitted to participate in intramural activities.
- Deadlines for events are posted in the glass cases in Parkhouse Hall and Physical Education Center entrances.
- Team rosters must be received by the posted deadlines.
- Team Captains are responsible for keeping their team rosters up to date.
- The intramural coordinator schedules make-up games. Team Captains are responsible for informing their players.
- Rules, schedules, etc. will be mailed to team captains/team managers prior to the start of the season.
- Schedules will be posted on bulletin boards outside of the PE Equipment Room and PE 218.
