Michael Whistler

As an actor, he has performed nationally and locally in roles from Shakespeare to musical comedy; as a playwright, his works have been presented by theatres in Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Seattle, Hudson (NY) and New York City.
He has taught at the College since 2001, and with the College's Office of Diversity Initiative and Office of Cultural Affairs, has served as writer and director to create Hidden Rivers: Stories of Lifelong Learning in 2006.
He is the recipient of the 20/20 Commission for Developing New Works at InterAct Theatre in Philadelphia, and the resulting piece, Little Lamb. An active theater artist, he belongs to both Actors' Equity Association and The Dramatists' Guild, and holds an MFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
