Rebekah Aston
Accounting Major
Class Of 2010
East Greenville

After she receives her associate’s degree in May 2010, she will continue her education at Kutztown University. However, recently she decided to change her major from Accounting to Secondary Education.

“I like math, and I liked helping my friends with it in high school,” she said. “Thinking about that, I now want Secondary Education for Mathematics to be my major. I feel this is what I’m supposed to do.”

Rebekah chose to attend Montgomery County Community College because it is close to her East Greenville home and has an Honors Program, of which she was a participant.

“I’ve liked the small classes with the Honors Program, where you can get to know the other students,” she said. “I like that the professors care about the students and want to know how they can help.”

Rebekah is a member of the Honors Club, Phi Theta Kappa international honors society, and sports/fellowship group called The Playground at her church.

Rebekah graduated from Salem Christian School as the valedictorian for her class. She achieved numerous academic and music awards, including the President’s Award for Educational Excellence. She had the highest grade point average every year at her high school and was nominated for Who’s Who in both high school and college.

In her spare time, she likes to knit and crochet dish towels and hats and is currently working on an afghan.
