New Choices/New Options
What Is New Choices?
New Choices is a free program offered at MCCC for single parents and displaced homemakers. The program is designed to help eligible participants enter the job market, find better employment, or attain further education. The program includes confidence building, career and education exploration and planning, developing job search skills, and job placement assistance. The goal is to promote economic self-sufficiency.
New Options, a nontraditional technologies and trades program, is open to individuals who want to explore job opportunities traditionally held by the opposite sex. Classes offer an introduction to computers and an exploration of apprenticeship opportunities, as well as coverage of the topics included in the New Choices classes.
