Are you a young adult, between the ages of 17 and 21, and need guidance taking the Next Step into your future?
If so, the Next Step Program may be for you.
Montgomery County’s Next Step Program is administered by the Montgomery County Department of Economic Workforce Development. With offices at both campuses of Montgomery County Community College, the program is committed to improving the lives of today’s youth. It offers one-on-one career counseling, skills assessment, and the opportunity for educational advancement and support services at no cost to the participant.
How We Can Help You
The Next Step Program is a FREE program to help eligible young adults who would like to find and keep good paying jobs, but need:
- GED certification
- Financial Aid for College Credits
- Career guidance
- Skills training
- Job Placement
Next Step helps young adults overcome many barriers to successful career development. Trained counselors offer career guidance and skills training and then start participants down the path of success. This guidance and training can lead to high level job satisfaction by matching an individual’s abilities and interests with a career that fits best. Participants find jobs that are both challenging and rewarding.
