Tutoring

If you’re struggling with a college course or could use help with computer or study skills, MCCC students can take advantage of our FREE tutoring! To view or print a copy of the tutoring schedules, log in to MyMC3 and go to "Tutorial Services." Offered whenever classes are in session, our tutoring services help you develop strategies based on your unique learning style. Research shows you’ll get the most out of tutoring the earlier you start, and you should ideally spend about two hours a week per subject with a tutor to help you succeed.

  • Work one-on-one with a tutor in the college-level courses in which you are currently enrolled
  • Work with writing tutors for writing assignments in all college-level courses
  • Face-to-face tutoring is available on a drop-in basis or by appointment
  • After-hours tutoring is available online
  • Offer workshops in topics such as study skills and writing

Our multimedia “Skills Lab” gives you the chance to work one-on-one or in small groups to support classroom instruction in math, reading and writing.

Prepare for the Accuplacer and Writeplacer placement test. Many of the following courses include integrated labs that use instructional software to supplement classroom instruction.

  • English 010 and 011
  • Math 010, 010B, 011 and 011B
  • Reading 010 and 011
