Montgomery County Community College presents the 14th Annual Technology and Learning Conference for faculty and administrators on Friday, October 3, 2008, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at its Central campus, just north of Philadelphia.

Join colleagues to share experiences and expertise in technology and learning! If you are excited about the potential for enhancing teaching and learning through technology, attend this conference to share your insight and learn from others!

Keynote Address: A Net Generation Learner's Perspective

Carie Windham Page will present from the student's perspective, discussing what net gen students have to say based on interviews she conducted with a wide variety of students. Net Geners are some of the most technologically adept members of society because they strive to stay ahead of the technology curve. Information derived from the student perspective will help determine how to best reach the next generation of learners.

The Keynote Address will focus on:

  - Net Gen characteristics
  - How they translate to the classroom
  - Ideas for "bridging the gap" in the classroom

The conference will provide a forum for professional development as well as opportunities to:

  • learn about new and exciting technologies
  • exchange ideas and best practices for incorporating technology and learning
  • extend communication between educational institutions and the community
