Course Requirements
You should have basic knowledge of virtualization technology, understand computer architectures (network and storage devices, device drivers and operating systems) and preferably hold Microsoft MCSA, MCSE or MCTS certification on Windows Server 2008 (or equivalent experience). Upon successful completion of each course, you’ll receive a voucher that covers the cost of your certification exam.
Intro to Virtualization
Students will have access to a free one week virtual orientation course covering virtualization and Microsoft Hypervisor before the XENServer course.

Welcome to the world of virtualization! In this course you’ll learn the skills you need to configure and administer XenServer 5.6, XenCenter and Provisioning Services 5.6. Through hands-on labs, you’ll get in-depth experience configuring and managing a XenServer virtualization server; creating Windows and Linux virtual machines; using XenMotion and automatic virtual machine placement; designing a Provisioning Server farm; creating, assigning and administering virtual disks; managing target devices; and configuring high availability. This course will prepare you for the CITRIX Certified Administrator for XenServer5.6 certification exam.

You’ll learn how to install Citrix XenApp 6 for Windows Server 2008 R2 and associated Citrix plug-ins as well as how to use administrative consoles and tools to configure resources, policies, server settings, server farm settings, printers and virtualized applications. This course will prepare you for the CITRIX Certified Administrator for XenApp 6 certification exam.

Get the skills foundation you need to effectively create customized virtual desktops, centralize and manage them in the data center, and deliver them as a service to users anywhere. You’ll learn how to select a desktop delivery model for distinct user groups based on their specific needs; build proof-of-concept and production XenDesktop environments; assign virtual desktops to users; customize the user experience through policies; build a Provisioning services farm to enable single-image desktop management; and host virtual machines on the client device using Citrix XenClient. This course will prepare you for the CITRIX Certified Administrator for XenDesktop certification exam.
