Ellen Toplin was appointed to the College’s Board of Trustees in 2012. Prior to her official retirement from her full time profession in 2010, Ms. Toplin was president and founder of Toplin and Associates, Inc. — ranked among the Philadelphia area’s top strategic marketing, business advisory, and public relations firms – for 25 years before merging her agency with The Star Group, where she served as a managing partner, and as president of StarToplin. During her “semi-retirement,” Toplin serves as a strategic business and marketing advisor to a select number of organizations and professionals. She has served as a trustee and leader of many community and association boards ranging from the American Red Cross-Blood Services’ Penn Jersey Region to The Forum of Executive Women and Abington Health System. She has received many local and national honors including being inducted in to both the national and Greater Philadelphia PR Halls of Fame as well as the Temple University Alumni Hall of Fame. She holds a B.S.W. from Temple University, and a M.Ed. in Rehabilitation Counseling from Antioch College.
