Vice President for Advancement
Jay Browning, CFRE, began his tenure as Vice President for Advancement at Montgomery County Community College in November 2018.
Browning is an accomplished advancement professional with more than 20 years of leadership development experience in both higher education and not-for-profit organizations, including the University of Cincinnati Foundation, Cabrini University, University of Maryland, Florida Atlantic University, Penn State University, Central Florida Speech and Hearing Center and Big Brothers Big Sisters. He also was a principal consultant and owner of Browning Advisors LLC, a professional development and leadership training firm.
Prior to starting his development career, Browning served in the U.S. Marine Corps on active duty for more than 14 years. Following a medical discharge, he served as a sworn law enforcement officer, holding several leadership positions.
Browning holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Penn State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland University College. He has been a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 2004.
