Vice President of Pottstown Campus and Educational Partnerships

Therol Dix, J.D., serves as Vice President of Montgomery County Community College Pottstown Campus and Educational Partnerships. In this role, Therol leads the fulfillment of the strategic direction of the Pottstown Campus, online learning, the University Center, articulation, and transfer pipeline from K-12 to bachelor's and beyond. Previously, Therol held the position of Dean of Arts and Humanities at the College. Before that, she was a full-time instructor and co-coordinator in the Mass Media Studies and Production department. Therol has also taught in part-time faculty roles at the College and Northampton Community College.

Prior to her career in academia, Therol was an Assistant District Attorney for Montgomery County and served as an Associate Attorney at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP. She regularly draws on the analytical and organizational skills she fine-tuned as an attorney in her work at the College.

Therol holds a bachelor's degree in communications studies from University of California, Los Angeles, and a master's degree in communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

Throughout her many years of service, what has impressed Therol most about Montgomery County Community College is the work ethic and dedication of its faculty, staff, and students. When she’s not helping students and educators, Therol enjoys spending time at home with her family, solving jigsaw puzzles, and playing scrabble.

Her biggest piece of advice for students is to “be intentional about the choices you make when it comes to the programs you pursue, how you engage with the College, and the friends you spend time with. The decisions you make today can affect the rest of your life.”
