Gaetan Giannini named Dean of Business & Entrepreneurial Initiatives at
Montgomery County Community College
November 7, 2016, Blue Bell/Pottstown, PA—Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) is pleased to announce Gaetan Giannini of Laurys Station, PA has been hired as the new Dean of Business & Entrepreneurial Initiatives (BEI), effective January 3, 2017.
In this role, he will lead the academic division and guide workforce development, the Culinary Arts Institute, the Virtual Campus and the University Center.
“I am very excited about joining MCCC as the Dean of BEI. This position will allow me to share my experience in business and professional studies along with my passion for technology enhanced education and entrepreneurship. I look forward to strengthening the College’s already solid connection with the regional business and civic community, and to ensuring that MCCC remains an integral part of both economic and workforce development in Montgomery County,” Giannini said.
Giannini earned his MBA with a marketing concentration from Seton Hall University, and his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering technology from Temple University. He also earned a certificate in international business from the Institute of International Business at Seton Hall and is currently working on his doctoral degree in education and higher education administration from Gwynedd Mercy University.
Prior to working in higher education, Giannini had more than 15 years of experience in sales and marketing. Since 2001, he has been the president and owner of the Giannini O’Connor LLC public relations and marketing firm in Allentown.
He began his began his teaching career as a part-time faculty member teaching business courses. He then landed a full-time faculty position at Cedar Crest College, where he became a tenured professor and chair of the department of business, management and economics. He then served in a dual role as Dean of the School of Adult and Graduate Education and Chief Marketing Officer for Cedar Crest.
