HIS 218 History of Latin America: Blood and Empire

This course provides a survey of the history of Latin America from pre-Columbian times to the present. Emphasis is placed on the twentieth century. Trends in political, economic, social and cultural development are studied, as well as the relationship between the United States and Latin America. This course meets General Education Core Goal 12: Global Perspectives and Diversity; and Core Goal 13: Ethical Reasoning and Behavior.
