Are the walking trails still open? (Updated 7/7/20)

The walking trails located on Central Campus in Blue Bell are temporarily closed to pedestrians.

Yes, the health department will contact the College if there is a presumptive or confirmed case.

Are there changes to campus operations? (Updated 6/15/20)

The College is closely monitoring the situation. The College will communicate any changes as they arise to your College email account and posted on this webpage.

Operations schedule at a glance – Updated 6/15/20

  • Following Governor Wolf’s announcement on March 30, Montco’s physical campuses will be closed until further notice. This closure includes the walking trails located on Central Campus in Blue Bell.
  • To support our students and their successes, certain functions of the college will continue to operate remotely. Online resources will remain available.
  • On-campus events for the College and the community are canceled or postponed until further notice.
  • The College will be moving to online instruction for all summer offerings: 14-week semester (May 18-August 28), first 6-week session (May 18-June 29), 10-week session (June 1-August 12), second 6-week session (July 6-August 16).
  • The College has determined that most of our fall 2020 courses will be delivered online – this is for all course instances regardless of duration (15-week, first 7-week, 10-week, and second 7-week). All academic support services will continue to be provided online.
  • The 2020 Commencement ceremony has been postponed to Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2 p.m.

Yes. The College will be moving to online instruction for all summer offerings: 14-week semester (May 18-August 28), first 6-week session (May 18-June 29), 10-week session (June 1-August 12), second 6-week session (July 6-August 16).

I do not have Internet access? Are there any services available? (Updated 3/24/20)

Several communications companies are granting temporary free Interent access to assist students and families throughout our community. Please see the resources below for possible solutions.

Comcast

  • Xfinity Hotspots – Xfinity Wifi Hotspots will be available to anyone who needs them for free – including non-Xfinity Internet customers. Once at a hotspot, select the “xfinitywifi” network name in the list of available hotspots, and then launch a browser.
  • Internet Essentials

AT&T

  • AT&T WiFi Hotspots – If you reside near a local business using AT&T, you may have access to free AT&T WiFi hotspots.
  • Access from AT&T – Offering two months of free service to new Access customers who order by April 30, 2020. $5/mo or $10/mo thereafter, depending on your speed.

Turn your smartphone into a WiFi Hotspot

If you have an existing mobile phone plan, you may be able to turn your phone into a mobile hotspot to thereby provide WiFi to a laptop. Due to the coronavirus, many phone carriers have removed typical data caps that typically make this option less appealing. Below are some helpful resources:

How do I access Blackboard for remote classes? Do you have any tutorials?

You will attend classes remotely through Blackboard, our Learning Management System. To access the system, log in to your Montco Connect student account and select the Blackboard (pencil) icon at the top of the screen.

How do I register for classes? Do I need to be on-campus?

You can register for classes online through Self-Service. Use your educational planners to ensure you are registering for the correct courses for your academic program. If you have questions about registering online, email Enrollment Services at enrollmentservices@mc3.edu. If you need assistance selecting courses, email your Academic Advisor at advising@mc3.edu.

What resources are available to students experiencing financial stress? (Updated 5/8/20)

As a direct result of the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus, the CARES Act: Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund has been created to assist students in financial stress. Find out if you're eligible to for emergency funds.
