All applicants seeking admission to the clinical component of the Nursing Program are required to submit a completed online Petition for Admission.
Applicants are required to meet with an Academic Advisor before submitting the Petition for Standard Nursing Program Admission to verify completion of all Special Admission Requirements.
All applicants are required to complete the TEAS® exam and meet the required benchmark prior to petitioning to the nursing program. Students may take the exam twice per admission cycle, with a minimum of 30 days between exam attempts. Any student who takes the exam more than twice during an admission cycle. The Nursing Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and holds provisional approval from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Consideration for admission
Completed petitions must be submitted, online, during the following timeframes:
- Summer admission – The first Monday of January at 9:00 a.m. through the following third Friday at 4:00 p.m.
- Fall admission – The first Monday of May at 9:00 a.m. through the following third Friday at 4:00 p.m.
- Spring admission – The first Monday of September at 9:00 a.m. through the following third Friday at 4:00 p.m.
No petitions will be accepted after these above mentioned dates and times.
If the opening day for submission falls on a day that the College is closed,the petition will open the next business day at 9:00am. If the deadline for submission of completed petitions falls on a day that the College is closed, the petition will be accepted no later than 4:00pm on the next business day.

Any person is eligible to begin coursework at Montgomery County Community College toward qualifying for admission to the Nursing Program and A.A.S. degree.
