Jazzy Ash and the Leaping LizardsJazzy Ash presents You Can Play Ukulele

Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11 a.m.
Eisenhower Middle School*, Norristown & livestream

An interactive virtual workshop for all ages, Jazzy Ash invites everyone to come along on a creative music adventure, learning how to play the ukulele! With her engaging personality, gorgeous voice and encouraging instruction, students can jump right in and play along. Hands-on musical experiences are a powerful tool for learning about musicianship, one's self and the world surrounding us. Through the YCPU curriculum, Jazzy Ash gently and playfully teaches music appreciation, technique, musicianship and songwriting. The approach is a combination of the play and inventive principles of the Orff Schulwerk Method and global focus of the World Music Pedagogy (Patricia Shehan Campbell).

"Jazzy Ash makes old songs joyous for new listeners while she acknowledges the creators of the work. Imagine a world where the music of your ancestors and the music of your descendants comes together and gets you dancing..." – Kathy O’Connell
