Director of Educational Engagement & Innovation

Kevin Orangers is the Director of Educational Engagement & Innovation at Montgomery County Community College and is responsible for the operations and implementation of the strategic direction of the Challenger Learning Center at Montgomery County Community College Pottstown Campus. Kevin serves as a liaison for all existing educational engagement programming for children and youth college-wide, as well as the development and promotion of new strategic innovative educational engagement programming for children and youth at the College.

Kevin most recently served the Space Foundation as the Executive Director of the Space Foundation Discovery Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, providing oversight to the daily operations of the space science center. With his extensive background in formal and informal educational programming, Kevin also directed the Space Foundation’s Education Department in the development of space-derived preK-12 STEM curriculum, national and international virtual and on-site STEM programming, and educator professional development experiences as part of the Space Foundation’s Center for Innovation & Education.

Kevin also previously served the National Liberty Museum on its executive team as Vice President of Programs & Museum Operations/Chief Operating Officer from 2008-2019. Prior to joining the National Liberty Museum, Kevin curated and directed the American Museum of Natural History’s mobile outreach initiative–the Moveable Museum–and has over 26 years of experience in strategic planning, business and facilities operations, grant writing and fundraising, exhibit design and curation, program and curriculum development, and community engagement.
