Must-see, high-energy student performances
At the root of every powerful dance is a performer who is honest and authentic to
themselves. Montco's dance students create original choreography through a variety
of techniques including ballet, hip hop, modern, tap, contemporary and jazz.
Each semester, the Dance Ensemble delivers a unique, student-driven performance at the Performing Arts Showcase, alongside the College's music ensembles. Additionally, the performers travel to local dance studios to interact and share their expertise with the community.
To participate in dance, join the dance performance ensemble or take a dance class. If you have questions, contact Melinda Copel, Dance Professor.
Join the Dance Performance Ensemble
The Dance Performance Ensemble is an artistic, collaborative company of dancers and choreographers. All skill levels are invited to join.
The dance concert showcases dance students' hard work throughout the semester to develop their own choreography for a one-of-a-kind performance.
The Performing Arts Showcase is held each semester—a matinee and two evening shows. Dance students join their music program peers for an ensemble show.
The Whitpain Festival is a community event featuring hayrides, games art activities and dance performances. Montco invites members of all ages from local dance studios to perform.
The Performing Arts Outreach program brings students from local area schools to see the Performing Arts Matinee and have a question and answer session with dance students regarding their creative work.
