Montgomery County Community College will host its Annual Workforce Business Roundtable on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 10 a.m. The two-hour roundtable will review the training grant program Workforce and Economic Development Network of Pennsylvania (WEDnetPA) administered by the College for Montgomery County, PA.

This year, Director of Workforce Development Bernadette DeBias will discuss WEDnetPA's program eligibility, application timelines, ranking criteria, funding availability, and best practices for the new funding round that begins July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022.

Additionally, the Dean of Workforce and Economic Development Kyle Longacre will discuss the future direction of Workforce Development at MCCC and the highly anticipated Baker Center of Excellence for Employee Ownership and Business Transformation. Speakers from the Montgomery County Commerce Department, Workforce Development Board, and Redevelopment Authority will also examine county resources for training and capitalization. The College will feature free mini-training sessions on OSHA, Lean & Six Sigma, unconscious bias and communications training in breakout sessions.

Participants will gain knowledge on MCCC programs available to help Montgomery County businesses.
