Cooking up success in the culinary arts

Master professional cooking and pastry arts in our new, 15,000-square-foot, Lansdale facility.

Whether you want to take a cooking class for fun or earn a culinary certificate or associate degree and start a career, Montco's Culinary Arts Institute (CAI) has something for every taste and pursuit. Opened in 2013, the Lansdale-based CAI provides hands-on instruction in four modern, professional kitchens including a restaurant demonstration kitchen, pastry kitchen and cold food kitchen or garde manger. All have HD cameras, TVs and internet access as well as the necessary tools and equipment of culinary professionals.

The CAI has also cooked up:

  • 3 SMART classrooms;
  • a staff of professionally trained and well-respected chefs;
  • the student-run Forty Foot Café and Bakery and Bistro 1400 Restaurant.
