Why do hundreds of College faculty and staff members give to the Foundation? The answers are diverse, but they all reflect a sincere belief in the work that’s done here. As a respected member of our faculty or staff, you already make valuable contributions with your energy and efforts. Contributing financially represents an additional vote of confidence in our future and a way to share your sense of partnership and pride.
Small gifts, large impact
Your participation is more important than the size of your donation; typically 60% of all faculty and staff gifts to the College have been in amounts of less than $100. High levels of participation in internal giving indicate healthy community involvement, which influences legislative support and large corporate and foundation gift requests.
Designating your gift
You are encouraged to give to departments or programs that are meaningful to you. We have suggested the most popular giving designations on the giving form, but feel free to use the “other” option if you would like support another department or program. You can give to up to two designations.
Your donation is 100% tax deductible. Although the College operates on a fiscal year (July 1 to June 30), your donation during a given calendar year is completely tax deductible.
Matching gift options
Matching gifts are an easy way to double the impact of a donation. To find out if your spouse’s employer has a matching gift program, please contact the Foundation office or the company’s Human Resources office.
You may give by check, credit card or payroll deduction.
Payroll deductions allow College employees to have their donation automatically deducted from their paycheck. This is an easy way to spread your gift over a period of time. Just a few dollars from each paycheck can really add up! Below are some examples of payroll deduction totals.
