Welding 1 (BICEC 2611)

This course will provide students with a basic entry level introduction to Welding through oral, written and hands-on activities. The student will gain an understanding of safety, measurement, metal preparation techniques including oxyfuel cutting, GMAW, and SMAW welding techniques, as well as basic layout and clamping. This course is designed to help the student explore barriers to employment retention and career livelihood.

Prerequisites

The following courses must be taken prior to this course
Basic math and English skills. Basic understanding of tape measure.
