Machinist CNC Operator: Level 2 (BICST 6102)

This program will provide the knowledge and hands-on skills to operate a Computerized Numeric Control (CNC) program for a CNC machine in a manufacturing environment. The course will cover the basic operations of a CNC machine, set-up of tooling and fixtures, measurement, materials, safety precautions and procedures, quality inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This course will also include connections to regional employers.

Prerequisites

The following courses must be taken prior to this course
Students may be required to meet occupational levels for Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents using ACT Keytrain assessments (per eligibility for ITA funding).
