Introduction to Mechanical Blueprint Reading (BICST 6110)

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of blueprint reading for industrial and machining applications. Topics include interpreting title blocks, lines, symbols, views, projections, dimensions, tolerances, and geometric specifications. Students will develop sketching skills and learn to read and apply machining and welding symbols in real-world contexts. The course concludes with a comprehensive review and practical assessment.

Prerequisites

The following courses must be taken prior to this course
Previous experience in machining or trade school expeience.
