This On Demand course prepares students for the Network+ (V9) exam. You'll learn how networks work (from cables and radios up to applications), common devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless access points, and storage systems), basic cloud networking (VPCs, gateways, security groups, and public/private/hybrid setups), important protocols (DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, FTP/SFTP, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP, RDP, SIP), how data is delivered (unicast, multicast, broadcast), and wired vs. wireless media (fiber, coax, copper, Wi-Fi, cellular, satellite). The course includes short readings, demos, and hands-on exercises so you can practice the skills. During the year students will have access to a virtual CompTIA instructor.
