Data Integration for Web Applications (CIS 246)

This course is designed to introduce the student to the basic concepts involved in designing and integrating data management systems within web and mobile based applications. Topics covered in the course will include discussions of data integration design, data query techniques, API's for data access, data privacy issues, cyber security challenges.

Prerequisites

The following courses must be taken prior to this course
CIS111B - Computer Science II: Object-Oriented Programming with a minimum grade of C
CIS 140 - Client Side Web Development

Corequisites

The following courses must be taken along side this course
CIS 241 - Server-Side Web Development. May be taken prior or during course.
