Bridge to College I (BTC I) is designed for the student's first interaction with a college. It enables the student to experience the atmosphere of a college over a sustained six-week period. Students attend classes four days a week, which are composed of two sessions per day. The morning class focuses on enabling students to strengthen their social interaction, communication and advocacy skills, develop coping strategies and emotional regulation, and practice organizational, daily living and problem-solving skills. After a lunch break, the students will participate in "Career Development," a two-credit college course.
