Imaging Professionals and Professional Readiness (RAD 251)

This course is an introduction to additional imaging concentrations. Information is shared on, but not limited to equipment, radiation dose, methods of image creation, basic indication and contraindications, image appearance and educational/certification requirements pertaining to the various imaging concentrations. This course also contains a capstone component that will review major points that were covered throughout the student's didactic & clinical education. The focus of this course will be on resume preparation, interview skills and mock Registry exams. The intent of this course is to prepare the student for the ARRT exam and for employment after graduation. Students will be required to complete a capstone project.

Prerequisites

The following courses must be taken prior to this course
RAD 221 - Radiographic Procedures III
RAD 214 - Clinical Education IV
RAD 103 - Radiation Protection and Biology

Corequisites

The following courses must be taken along side this course
RAD 224 - Clinical Education V. May be taken prior or during course.
RAD 230 - Radiographic Pathology. May be taken prior or during course.
