Celebrate the holidays with MCCC's Lively Arts Series

Montgomery County Community College’s Lively Arts Series will host family-friendly holiday events during the month of December at the College’s  Science Center Theater, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell.

Take a magical adventure to the North Pole at the Polar Express Pajama Night on Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. Families are invited to wear pajamas and bring pillows to enjoy the Christmas classic The Polar Express. Children will be given a free cup of hot chocolate and will be able to watch the movie from the stage or in regular seating.

Get into the holiday spirit with A Cappella Pops! Holiday Cheer Concert on Dec. 15 at 4 p.m. Known for their exquisite harmonies and dynamic flair, A Cappella Pops! has been entertaining audiences around the region and beyond for over 15 years. The concert will feature a special appearance by the MCCC Chamber Choir, led by Professor Andrew Kosciesza.

The Lively Arts Series welcomes the return of the Philadelphia Dance Theatre and their presentation of Holiday Traditions The Nutcracker on Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. with a special sensory-friendly performance on Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. The performances will feature highlights of the classic ballet, including the magical Kingdom of the Sweets scene, set to the nostalgic Tchaikovsky score. The sensory-friendly performance on Dec. 7 will include a pre-show talk with the audience and interaction with the performers.

Many more entertaining, exciting, memorable, uplifting, and just plain fun events are part of this year’s Lively Arts Series.
