Montgomery County Community College is pleased to announce the following 2019 League Excellence Award recipients and the 2020 NISOD Award recipients.

League Excellence Award

In order to be nominated for the League Excellence or NISOD Award, an individual must be a permanent, full-time or part-time employee of MCCC during the academic year for which they are selected. The employee should exemplify exceptional teaching and/or leadership in more than one of the following areas:

  • Participation within a college governance committee, task force, or planning core team.
  • High impact practices within teaching and learning, or high institutional impact to the College.
  • Demonstration and extraordinary commitment to implementing the College’s strategic plan to support improvements to institutional quality, educational effectiveness, or innovative inter-disciplinary learning.

Additionally, the employee must also be in good standing at the time of selection and may not have received the award within the last five years.

The League for Innovation celebrates innovation in learning, teaching, staff development and student success and recognizes community college leaders who have made a significant difference in the lives of students and in the communities their colleges serve.

NISOD  is a membership organization committed to promoting and celebrating excellence in teaching, learning and leadership at technical and community colleges.
